Sally Greenham

Sally L. Greenham, born on January 12th, 1933, in Napoleon, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family, on June 19th, 2024, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished forever. Sally was the beloved daughter of Howard and Iona Watson. She was preceded in death by her parents, along with her first husband James Swick, son Patrick L. Swick, second husband Reginald Greenham, daughter Malinda Graber, and sister Patricia Rogers. She is survived by her siblings Betty Ory, Linda Smith and Robert (Sue) Watson. She is also survived by her children Sandra (Ted) Cordes, Nancy (Terry) Gray, and Tim (Lori) Swick. Sally was a loving grandmother to her eight granddaughters: Lee Ann (Shawn) Druhot, Lori (John) Paxton, Melody (Chris) Balli, Susan (Tim) Postlewait, Megan Biltz, Amanda (Marcus) Gomez, Andrea (Jake) Hunter, and Arica (Nate) Leidigh. She was blessed with twenty great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. In her lifetime, Sally married James A. Swick in 1952, and later Reginald J. Greenham in 1970. She was a devoted wife and mother, dedicating herself to her family with unwavering love and support. Sally graduated from Napoleon High School in 1950 and embarked on a fulfilling career. She worked at the Napoleon Public Library before serving as the Administrative Assistant and Registrar at the Henry County Health Department for twenty-two years until her retirement. Sally was a dedicated member of various organizations and communities, including the Democratic Party, where she was known for her delicious baked beans, the Red Hat Ladies, and The Glass Club of Toledo, Ohio. Her hobbies and interests were vast and brought her immense joy. Sally enjoyed baking and cooking, with her specialties being cookies, pies, noodles and jams. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and was an avid reader. She was a loyal fan of the Detroit Tigers and the Ohio State Buckeyes, relishing in the excitement of attending games. Her love for collecting antiques and arranging flowers for weddings showcased her creative spirit and attention to detail. Sally was known for her impeccable sense of style and accessorizing skills, always dazzling in perfectly coordinated outfits. Her strength, resilience, and great sense of humor endeared her to all who knew her. She was described as kind, patriotic, thoughtful, and proud. Sally was a devoted cheerleader for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, attending their sporting events with unwavering support. Her greatest pride was having eight granddaughters. A graveside service for Sally L. Greenham will be held on Tuesday, June 25th, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood Avenue in Napoleon, Ohio, with the procession leaving Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home at 12:45 PM. The service is open to all who wish to pay their respects, with a luncheon to follow at The First Baptist Church 1304 Lagrange Street, Napoleon, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Napoleon Public Library or Elara Caring Hospice of Toledo, Ohio. Sally's presence has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her spirit will continue to live on in the memories and recipes shared by her family, friends, and community. May she rest in peace, knowing that she was cherished and adored by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
