Marie E. Damman

Marie E. Damman, 92, of Napoleon, Ohio died on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Genacross Lutheran Home, Napoleon, Ohio. She was born on June 7, 1924 in Fulton County, Ohio to the late William "Bill" and Sophia (Glanz) Badenhop. On May 2, 1948, she married Victor Damman at the St. Luke Lutheran Church in Wauseon, Ohio. He preceded her in death on October 6, 2010. Marie was a homemaker and helped her husband on the family farm. She also enjoyed taking care of her beautiful flower gardens. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Freedom Township where she belonged to the Ladies aide. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and always looked forward to preparing family meals. She is survived by her children; Randall (Sandy) Damman of Napoleon, Cheryl (Larry) Sausser of Wauseon, and David (Teresa) Damman of Napoleon; grandchildren; Kelly (Bart) Grubbs, Scott (Andrea) Damman, Brooke (Pete) Henry, Kirk (Tara) Sausser, Kyle Sausser, Kolby (Brittany) Sausser, Kara (Bobby) Cowell, Krista (Joe) Howard, Sarah (Curtis) Wilson, Kayla Damman, Jessica Damman, and Lucas Damman, great grandchildren; Cole and Tessa Grubbs, Cody, Carson, Caden Damman, Izabelle, Tate, and Ty Henry, Paul and Anna Sausser, Braxton, Emersyn, Hudson, and Karsyn Sausser, Westen, Lanny and baby boy Cowell (due on Marie's birthday), Maxton, Graceyn, and Nolan Howard, Lyla and Isaac Wilson, and Kenlee Coressel and brother, Marvin (Marcella) Badenhop of Delta, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Badenhop, and sisters, Augusta Badenhop, Esther Elling, and Louise Gerken. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 17 at the St. John Lutheran Church, Freedom Township. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Rodenberger Funeral Home in Napoleon and one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Friday. The family suggests memorials to the St. John Lutheran Church, Hospice of Henry County, or Alzheimer's Association Northwest Ohio Chapter.
