Launita A. Glanz Plassman

OBITUARY OF LAUNITA GLANZ PLASSMAN Launita A. Glanz Plassman, 89, of Napoleon, Ohio, died on October 31, 2023. She was born on April 26, 1934, to Ervin and Laurina Germann in Napoleon. On October 10, 1954, she was united in marriage to Norman V. Glanz. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1988. On August 25, 2001, she was united in marriage to Vernon Plassman and he passed on May 4, 2020. Launita assisted her husband Norman V. Glanz as the owner and operator of Glanz Printing, Inc. from 1963 to 1988, retiring in 1991. She was active in church and community, serving St. Luke Lutheran Church as Sunday School and VBS teacher and held various offices in the Ladies Guild and Lutheran Women’s Missionary League on the local zone and district levels. For seven years she was a volunteer at the Fulton County Health Center and member of its auxiliary. Her pride and joy were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved spending time with them and going to their school and sports events. Launita is survived by three daughters: Debra (Gregory) Byers of Columbus, OH; Vicki (Steven) Gilbert of Fort Wayne, IN; Cinda (Thomas) Marckel of Temperance, MI; and one son, Thomas (Marlene) Glanz of Waterville OH; two stepdaughters, Linda Magnan of Wauseon, OH and Mary (David) Clark of Wauseon, OH. A stepdaughter, Barbara Plassman Sears preceded her in death. Also surviving are grandchildren, Travis (Jennifer) Byers, Kimberly (John) Graff, Lindsay Gilbert, Jenna Gilbert, Ryan (Emma) Zuccarell, Amy (Brittany) Szunko, Jessica (Antonio Juarez) Glanz, Anna (Edward) Cichewicz and Trevor Glanz; two step-grandchildren, Heather Magnan and Holly (Ben) Bohland. Also surviving are ten great-grandchildren and two sisters; Lois Bischoff of Napoleon, OH and Carol Roessing of Findlay, OH and two sisters-in-law; Judy Glanz, Grand Rapids, OH and Garlene Glanz, Midland, MI. Friends and family will be received at the Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, Napoleon, on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wauseon, on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM with an hour of visitation prior to services.
