Loretta M. ImbrockMarch 11, 1932-February 11, 2011Loretta Marie Imbrock, 78, of Malinta, Ohio died peacefully at her home Friday night, February 11, 2011. She was lovingly cared for at home this past year by her husband, Marvin; her grandson, Zach Smith and his partner, Jen Baller.She was born on March 11, 1932 in Napoleon Township to August and Emilie (Plassmann) Gerken. On October 15, 1950 she married Marvin Imbrock at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Wauseon, Ohio.Loretta graduated from Wauseon High School in 1950 and joyfully attended reunions with her former classmates. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens at home and her participation in the Henry County Flower Club. The County Fair was a favorite place for her to compete with her flowers and baked goods. Her love of cooking was the truest expression of her love for family and friends. She shared this gift with the students and staff at Deshler School where she worked as a cook. Music was a large part of her life and she played the organ for 63 years, providing wedding music for the first time at the age of 15. Loretta was a very active member of St. John Lutheran church where she was the organist over a period of 59 years. She was awarded Organist Emerita in 2010 by the church to honor her long-standing dedication to the worship ministry of the congregation. Loretta loved her family. She is survived by her loving husband Marvin of 60 years; children, Debra Imbrock of Schoolcraft, Michigan; Michael (Kim) Imbrock of Hamler, Ohio; Darla (David) Jones of Bryan, Ohio; Mark (Dana) Imbrock of Sylvania, Ohio and Dena Imbrock of Forth Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Ben Smith, Andy Smith, Zach Smith, Mykal Imbrock, Joe Imbrock, Morgan Imbrock, Matthew Jones, Danielle Jones, Jake Jones, Josh Jones, Katelyn Imbrock, Ross Imbrock, Mya Imbrock; brothers, Bob (Linda) Gerken of Delta, Ohio; Dick Gerken of Wauseon, Ohio; Ron (Kay) Gerken of Waterville, Ohio; sister, Lou Ann Harris of Norman, Oklahoma; and sister-in-law, Joann (Vernon) Gerken of Wauseon, Ohio. She is also survived by her in-laws, Waldo (Clara) Imbrock of Napoleon, Ohio; Carmen (Don) Hogrefe of Deshler, Ohio; Alice (John) Tussing of Deshler, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dianna Imbrock and brother, Vernon Gerken.Visitation will be at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler from 2-8 p.m. on Monday, February 14 and at St. John Lutheran Church from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 15.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Church, Deshler with Pastor John Clausen officiating.
