Yvonne Phillips WeaverMay 5, 1936-May 29, 2012 Yvonne Phillips Weaver, 76, of Deshler, Ohio died Tuesday evening, May 29, 2012 at Oak Grove Healthcare Center, Deshler. She was born May 5, 1936 in Fremont, Ohio to the late Stanley and Dortha (Thielen) Ickes. On July 20, 1957 she married Richard "Dick" Phillips at St. Louis Catholic Church, Custar and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2000. On January 11, 2003 she married Jacob Weaver and he also preceded her in death on January 23, 2012. Yvonne was a 1954 graduate of Hoytville/Jackson Township High School. She was a homemaker and stayed at home to raise her daughters through their school years. She then went to work for Don Norris, CPA in Bowling Green, Ohio and then for Blue Flame of Deshler. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Deshler and the Deshler Garden Club. Yvonne enjoyed bowling in leagues at Deshler Lanes, traveling, occasional gambling trips to local casinos, and a great passion for flowers and keeping beautiful gardens at her home. Yvonne is survived by daughters, Brenda (Dan) Cookson; Teresa (Richard) Lederer; Tina (Jeff) Meyer; grandchildren, Noah Cookson, Justin Lederer, Shelby Lederer, Cody Meyer and Lindsey Meyer; brother, Larry (Judy) Ickes; sisters-in-law, Jill Ickes; Marialyce Barringer; Lila Phillips; and brother-in-law, Joe Phillips. She is also survived by Jacob's children, Ellen (Joseph) Bechstein; Jacquelyn Weaver; Tamara Jo (Dean) Massmann; William "Andy" (Sarah) Weaver; Laurie (Ron) Crawford; grandchildren: Emily (Matt) Henry; Nicole (Justin Geen) Bechstein; Megan Massmann; Mackenzie Massmann; Tonee Weaver; Caylei Rettig; Jacob John Weaver; Delaney Weaver; Shenley Hoops; Derek Hoops; Taylor Crawford and great granddaughter, Faith Henry. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Lester Ickes. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Custar with Fr. David Tscherne officiating. Interment will follow in St. Louis Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Friday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler.
