Ruth L. Barnes, 98, of McClure, Ohio died peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 12th, 2020 at her Napoleon Alpine Village residence. She was born May 2, 1921 in McClure, Ohio to the late Clyde and Chloe (Hadley) Houser. On March 1941, she married Karl “Bob” Barnes in Deshler, Ohio and he preceded her in death on September 14, 2006. Ruth graduated from McClure High School. She was a was a homemaker and helped her husband on the farm. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon, where she served on the Mission Society and the luncheon committee, former member of Peace Lutheran Church, where she was organist and member of its Ladies Aide and LWML, Past President for Henry County Farm Bureau and was instrumental in starting the Farm Bureau tent at the Henry County Fair, Director and coordinator for Damascus Twp. and Richfield Twp. Henry County Tomato Pageant, life member of the McClure American Legion Auxiliary, and 4-H advisor for the Richfield Stars That Shine for 25 years. She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Robison of Napoleon, Paddy (Steve) Wing of Deshler; grandchildren, Robb Robison of Deshler, Brian (Kari) Robison of Toledo, Carla Clemens of Deshler, and Ryan (Kendra) Wing of McClure; great grandchildren, Amber Robison, Emily (Gabe) Rouffer, Elijah Robison, Warren Robison, Ethan Robison, Blake Robison, Noah Robison, Jacob Clemens, Zachary Clemens, Kenzie Wing, and Rylie Wing. She was also preceded in death by son-in-law, James Robison; grandchildren, Jeff Robison, Timothy Robison, and Christa Robison; and siblings, Herbert Houser, Marcille Russell, and Galen “Hub” Houser. Due to the current health environment, services will be held privately at Hockman Cemetery, McClure, Ohio. Memorials are suggested to McClure American Legion,P.O.
