Robert O. Lather Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Robert O. Lather, 75, of Napoleon, Ohio died peacefully on Friday, January 28th, 2022 at Northcrest Nursing Home, Napoleon, Ohio. He was born December 27, 1946 in Napoleon, Ohio to the late Orville Robert and Helen (Myers) Lather. On August 11, 1982 he married Diana (Love) Lather in Napoleon, Ohio. Bob was a 1964 graduate of Florida High School and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked and retired from Campbell Soup Company. He was a life member of the Napoleon VFW and former member of the Napoleon Moose Lodge. He was a sprint car fanatic and enjoyed attending races at Eldora and Oak Shade and huge fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes. Bob is survived by his wife, Diana; daughter, Loretta Lather (Mike Weaver), grandchildren, Alexis, Katelyn, and Brennen; siblings, Jim Lather, Teresa (Wayne) Colby, and Ronald (Lorely) Lather; and sister-in-law, Betty Lather. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Aubree; and siblings, Carol Plassman, Dale Lather, and Lawrence Lather. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 4th at Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, Napoleon. Interment will follow at Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance, Ohio, where military honors will be accorded by the Napoleon Joint Veteran Posts. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial contributions are suggested to Diana Lather to help with funeral expenses.
