Marilyn “Puddy” Roach, 92, of Napoleon, Ohio died peacefully on Thursday, July 8th, 2021 at Northcrest Nursing Home. She was born November 11, 1928 in Holland, Ohio to the late Leslie and Edith (Appling) Tanner. On June 8, 1946 she married Wayne Roach in Whitehouse, Ohio and he preceded her in death on September 15, 1969. Marilyn also known as “The Old Bag” to some, worked at a local factory and then as a home health aid. She was a member of the Wesleyan Church, Liberty Center, Ohio. She had a love for dogs, enjoyed spending time with family and dancing. She will be deeply missed by her family: daughters, Roxanne Franklin and Betty Cole; grandchildren, RaAnn (Dean) Bauman, RaLyn Franklin (Britt), Richard “Kale” (Francisca) Franklin, Candace (Rodney) Gill, Crystal (Terry) Bucher, Clarissa (Ron) Boyd, Jason (Kimberly) Gerken, and Chandra Krass (Jeff); 20 great grandchildren.; 18 great-great grandchildren with one arriving soon; siblings, Margaret Baldwin, Velda Haley, Janice (JR) Conner and Dan (Sue) Tanner. She was also preceded in death by sons-in-law, Richard Franklin and Bill Cole; siblings, Lillie Stevenson, Arlene Thompkins, Norma Meister, Leslie Tanner, Naomi Kessler, 2 infant siblings, and a great granddaughter, Ella Dickerson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 13th at Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, Napoleon, Ohio. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Liberty Center. A public viewing will be held on Monday from 3-8 p.m. at Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, Napoleon. Memorials are suggested to the Liberty Center Wesleyan Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
