Joel DIaz

Joel Diaz, 60, of Napoleon, Ohio died Saturday, January 29th, 2022 at Northcrest Nursing Home, Napoleon, Ohio. He was born December 26, 1961 in McAllen, Texas to the late Eliseo and Elvia (Salinas) Diaz. On August 6, 2003 he married Wendy Hopewell in Findlay, Ohio and though they were legally divorced they still stayed a close couple. Joel worked various jobs, the last at Campbell Soup Company during seasonal pack. He was a race car enthusiast. He is also survived by his former mother-in-law, Susan Hopewell and sister-in-law, Holly Hopewell, both of Napoleon, feline friend, Browsey; brother, Jaime (Deborah) Diaz, half-siblings; Josie Rodriquez, Jon Ellerbrock, Diana Savage, and Robbie Ellerbrock. Joel’s wishes were to be cremated. There will be no formal services. Memorials may be sent to Henry County Humane Society in memory of Joel. Online condolences may be made at www.rodenbergergray.com
