Evelyn Anna Rohrs

Evelyn Anna Rohrs, 95, of Napoleon, Ohio passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Genacross Lutheran Services. She was born in Napoleon on September 21, 1926, to Albert and Lydia (Meyer) Gerken. Evelyn married Frederick “Fritz” Rohrs on November 25, 1948, at St. John Lutheran Church, Freedom Township and they were married for 34 years until his death in 1982. Evelyn was a wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to being a farm wife, she had also worked part time at Chief Supermarket for many years. She was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church, and active in the Church Ladies guild. She was an avid seamstress and quilter. Evelyn is survived by her children, Susan (Bill) Henrich, Jim (Deb) Rohrs, and Tom (Genny) Rohrs; seven grandchildren, Scott (Michelle) Roehl, Brian (Danica) Roehl, Jeremy (Amanda) Rohrs, Jenna (Allen) Ditto, Jason (Victoria) Rohrs, Haley (Anthony) Cruz, and Christina (Rick) Smith. She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Fred; infant daughter, Karen; sisters, Lucia (Walt) Delventhal and Margaret (Marvin) Baden; and infant granddaughter, Jenee Lyn Rohrs. Friends and family will be received at the Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, Napoleon, on Sunday, March 6, 2022, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, Freedom Township on Monday, March 7, 2022, at 11:00 AM with an hour of visitation prior to services. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, Freedom Township, or the United Way of Henry County.
