Delores "Dee" Zachrich Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Delores Cecilia “Dee” (Bohn) Zachrich, 94, of Napoleon, Ohio died Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the Van Wert Manor in Van Wert, Ohio. She was born February 28, 1928 in Defiance, Ohio to the late Louis and Alice (Shumaker) Bohn. On January 18, 1948 she married Rollen “Ron” Zachrich. Dee was a 1946 graduate of Florida Rural High School. She later earned a Bachelor’s degree from The Defiance College in 1964 and a Master’s of Education at Bowling Green State University in 1970. Her first teaching position was in elementary school at Florida School and she later moved to the Napoleon Schools before retiring after 25 years. Dee continued to teach at St. Paul Lutheran School for 9 more years before retiring from that system but remained there in the role of substitute teacher. Dee also volunteered and worked at Sauder Village, Archbold, Ohio, for many years with her husband. She was a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon. She is survived by her brother, Charles “Chuck” (Judith) Bohn; son, David (Ann) Zachrich, Tallmadge, Ohio; daughter, Reesa (Frank) Rohrs, Van Wert, Ohio; grandchildren, Jacob (Amy) Zachrich; Miriam (Larry) Scheetz; Rachel Rohrs; Abigail (Justin) Sparks; Angela (Mike) Naso; Emily (Anthony) Gilmore; great-grandchildren, Alexis (Juan) Reyes; Rollen; Rebekah; Emma; Bo; Annie; Titus; Trent; Tessa; Colin; Eleanor; Nora. She was anticipating the birth of another great-grandchild as well as the arrival of her first great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Zachrich; brothers, Louis (Marsha) Bohn; Earl (Eva) Bohn; and infant siblings Noreen, Gloria, and Ronald Bohn. The family will celebrate her life at a private graveside service at the Florida Cemetery; arrangements are pending. Preferred Memorials are suggested to Lutheran World Relief, St. Paul Lutheran School Library, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
