Alma Hartman Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Alma (Rice) Hartman, 76, of Malinta, Ohio died Wednesday, June 15th, 2022 at CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born November 6, 1945 in Napoleon, Ohio to the late Wilbur “Pete” and Lavon (Gilliland) Rice. On February 15th, 1964 she married Fritz Hartman in Grelton, Ohio and he preceded her in death on June 20, 2020. Alma worked at Campbell Soup Company in Napoleon for over 38 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was on the church council and held other various positions and was a member of Campbell Soup Retiree’s. Most of all, she loved her family, loved to camp, and loved to go to the tractor pulls. She is survived by a son, Dan Hartman (Tina) of Malinta; granddaughters, Rachel Hartman (Dennis Bowers) and Alishia (Christopher) Cowell; great grandchildren, Karli Hartman and Xavier Anderson; step grandchildren, Zoe, Bree, and Hannah; and sisters, Judy (Don) Terwilliger, Karen (Bob) Gibbs; and sisters-in-law, Virginia Rice and Pam Rice. She was preceded in death by daughters, Peggy and Tammy and brothers, Chuck Rice, Sam Rice, and Frank Rice. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22nd at Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, Napoleon. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to Tristate Mini Pullers.
