Dorothy A. WeberJanuary 21, 1924-October 7, 2010 Dorothy Adeline Weber, 86, of Deshler, Ohio passed away Thursday morning, October 7, 2010 at the University of Toledo Medical Center. She was born January 21, 1924 in Toledo to the late Arvin and Ruth (Keck) Adams. On august 24, 1946 she married James R. Weber in Toledo and he preceded her in death on July 1, 1991. Dorothy was a 1942 graduate of Libbey High School, Toledo and then attended the University of Toledo College of Engineering where she completed courses in Industrial Drafting for Women. She then worked at Surface Combustion, Toledo during World War II as a woman drafter. Dorothy’s greatest joy in life came from her family and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving person to all that knew her, a mentor to many women and an avid prayer. She always considered herself a student of the Bible and was still currently leading the Stonecroft Women’s Bible Study in her home. She was faithful to her church, the First Presbyterian Church of Deshler, and served in many positions. She was a member of the Deshler Art League; the Aladdin Club; and the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. She is survived by her children, Janet (Allen) Rutter, Lambertville, Michigan; Jeff (Nancy) Weber, Deshler; Dale (Teresa) Weber, Deshler; Rich Weber, Bowling Green, Ohio; Bob (Karen) Weber, Deshler and Carol (Juan) Escalante, Deshler; 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sisters, Norma Manteuffel, Toledo; Mildred Proshek, Toledo; Ruthann Griffith, Toledo; brothers, Don (Evie) Adams, Temperance, Michigan; Edward (Margaret) Adams, Curtice, Ohio and sisters-in-law, Wanda Lawrence, Toledo and Lois Case, Swanton, Ohio. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Elmer and Raymond Adams and two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Allison. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the First Presbyterian Church of Deshler with Pastor Richard Betts officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler and a luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, and from10-11 a.m. on Monday prior to the services at the church.
