Norman R. Junge

Norman Robert "Gus" Junge, 80 of McClure, Ohio died Sunday afternoon, July 27, 2014 at his residence. He was born July 7, 1934 in Damascus Township, Henry County to the late Gustave and Veda (Casteel) Junge. On December 5, 1954 he married Ethel Goldsmith. Norm worked for over 26 years at Ford Motor Company, Maumee, Ohio, retiring in 2000. He previously worked for over 12 years at Automatic Feed, Napoleon. He was a member of Ford Retiree U.A.W. Local #1892 and active at Hosanna Lutheran Church, Grand Rapids. Norm was also a farmer and loved to take his dogs coon hunting with his son and grandsons. He enjoyed spending time with his mule, Elmer and his draft horses, Mic and Mac. He always found pleasure in BBQ's at his farm on the weekends. He adored his devoted wife and loved his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren; step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. They all treasured him as well. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ethel; children, Rox Ann (Douglas) Adams; Jackie (Robert) Allen; Norman (Beth) Junge; Karen (Raymond) Rutledge; 9 grandchildren, Karla (Justin) Sexton, Teena (Donald) Pinckney, Anderia (Jimmy) Hartman, Shannon Allen, Desarae (Tony) Miller, Nathan (Chelsea) Junge, Amanda Gonzalez, Rayna Rutledge, Ryan Rutledge; 2 step grandchildren, Raechel (Mark) Feehan, Heather Marr; 11 great grandchildren, Joshua & Jacob Sexton, Tori Allen, Trey "TJ" & Trent Hartman, Preston & Alexa Miller, Austin & Alyssa Junge, Anthony & Alexis Wallace; 4 step great grandchildren, Clayton, Faith & Whitney Feehan, Lillie Marr; sisters, Neoma (David) Rhoads; Iona Burdue; Nora Ann Junge; Caroll (Walter) Bowles and special friends, Thomas (Deb) Mowery and Paul (Betty) Mowery. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Leona Babcock and Clara Junge. Services are on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon with Pastor Adrianne Meier officiating. Interment will follow at Hockman Cemetery, McClure. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
