Mildred A. Hahn

Mildred A. Hahn, age 94 of Deshler, Ohio went to her eternal heavenly home on Monday, April 20, 2026 at ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital, surrounded by the love of her children and grandchildren. She was born on December 21, 1931, in Bartlow Township to the late John Henry and Maria (Seedorf) Tietje. On May 8, 1952, Mildred married the love of her life, the late Donald M. Hahn and together they shared 67 years before his passing in 2019. Mildred was a kindhearted and gentle soul who found joy in life’s simplest blessings. She devoted herself to her family, creating a warm and loving home for her children while instilling in them the value of a strong and enduring faith. Known for her generous spirit and beloved recipes, Mildred cherished the tradition of baking Christmas cookies each year with her children and grandchildren. Above all, she treasured the moments spent together—whether gathered around the table for family meals or making memories while camping at the Henry County Fair. Mildred was a devoted, lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church in Deshler, Ohio. For 25 years, she faithfully served her church as a custodian, taking great pride in carefully cleaning and maintaining the facility. She was also a co-founder and lifetime member of the Bavarian Haus of Deshler, where she found joy in polka music and dancing. Mildred will be missed dearly by her family especially her four children, John Hahn, Bonnie (Hahn) Fleetwood, Mark (Jenifer) Hahn, and David (Dana) Hahn; Her grandchildren: Keli (Jay) Navarre, Brian (Jessica) Hahn, Ashley Hahn, Justin Hahn, Amanda (Brent) Clemens, Joshua (Melissa) Fleetwood, Greggory (Ashley) Hahn; Chelsea (Matthew Newbauer) Fleetwood and Jacob (Kortney) Hahn; 16 great grandchildren and one on the way, 3 great – great grandchildren and sister-in-law, Imogene Dachenhaus. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband Donald Hahn; daughter-in-law Pamela Hahn; son-in-law, Johnny Ray Fleetwood; 1 grandson; 1 great grandson; and her siblings Martin Tietje, Arnold Tietje, Olga Tietje, Pete Tietje, Esther (Tietje) Schuette, Edna (Tietje) Witte, and Henry Tietje. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 24th, 2026 at St. John Lutheran Church, Deshler, Ohio. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, Napoleon, Ohio and Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
