Linda R. Babcock March 3, 1947 - July 24, 2016 Linda Rosene Babcock, 69, of Deshler, Ohio died July 24, 2016 at her home in Deshler. Linda was born March 3, 1947 to the late Robert William and Betty Viola (Doty) Sigler. On May 29, 1966 she married Richard Leroy Babcock. Linda graduated from Deshler High School in 1965. Driven by her sense of adventure and enthusiasm, she worked at many varied jobs throughout her career which included newspaper sales and editing, owning and operating her family's bulk food store, and working in the Popular Culture and Music Libraries at Bowling Green State University from which she eventually retired. Linda also worked with her community in the Cub Scout and Girl Scout programs. Linda was a member of the former Deshler E.U.B. Church until she married. She then became a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in McClure, Ohio before joining her church family at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Deshler where she taught Sunday School and served with the church women. She is survived by her husband, Richard and her children, Christine Carrin Babcock, Deshler; Richard William Patrick (Angie) Babcock, Deshler; Andrew Robert James (Rhonda Coutinho) Babcock, Findlay; nine grandchildren, Jeffrey William Charles Babcock, Wooster; Kyle Robert Richard Babcock, Bowling Green; Bethany Rose (Alex Myers) Babcock, Fort Wayne, Indiana; Tyler Lee James (Abbie Johnson) Babcock, Findlay; Hope Nicole Dangler, Adrian, Michigan; Sarah Renee Viola Babcock, Akron; Makayla Marie Babcock, Deshler; Melissa Coutinho and Olivia Coutinho, both of Findlay. Linda is also survived by her brother, Larry Sigler, Kissimmee, Florida; nieces and nephews, Scott Sigler; Jason Sigler; Stacy Sigler; Monique and Abbey Bickford; Tiffany Botjer, Gabriel Smith; Bailey Smith; Benjamen Gehring; Logan Smith and Justyne Smith. She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Sheldon Lewis Sigler. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday and 2-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler.
