Lecklider Michael

Michael B. "Link" Lecklider, 53, of Napoleon, died Tuesday, May 12, at the Toledo University Medical Center. He was born January 24, 1956, in Napoleon to the late Austin II and Rufina (Vajen) Lecklider . On May 11, 1979, he married Debra Spengler at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ridgeville Corners. Mike was a sales manager at Don's Automotive Group in Wauseon. He previously worked as branch manager at the Sherwood State Bank in Ridgeville Corners, sales manager for Loan Zone in Holland, mortgage loan consultant at First Federal Savings & Loan in Defiance, District Agent for Prudential Insurance Agency in Defiance, marketing representative for Toledo Credit Bureau, and installment loan officer at the National City Bank in Napoleon, formerly Ohio Citizens Bank and Community Bank. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Ridgeville Corners, where he served as a former council president, deacon, and Sunday school board member. He was a former board member for the Henry County Home Health Agency and the Henry County United Way. He was a former high school football official for 18yrs and belonged to the Fifth District Officials Association. He enjoyed being a scorekeeper and clock operator for the boys basketball, football and wrestling teams at the Archbold High School, and was a proud Alumni and a member of the Archbold Athletic Boosters. He is a member of the Elks Lodge #929, BPOE of Napoleon, and an honorary member of the VFW Post # 8847 of New Bavaria. Surviving is his wife, Debra, Ridgeville Corners; daughters, Amanda (Danny) Carrizales and Whitney, both of Toledo; son, Nicholas of Columbus; granddaughter, Lyla Ann Carrizales; sister; Janice Lecklider of Ridgeville Corners; and brother, Austin III "Spike" (Sylvia) Lecklider of Napoleon. He was preceded in death by a sister, Rufina Ann Harper. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, May 16, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ridgeville Corners with Pastor Vicky Coombs officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2-5 and 6-9 PM at the Rodenberger Funeral Home in Napoleon and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. An Elks Lodge Service will be held on Friday evening at 8:30 PM. The family suggests memorials to St. Peter Lutheran Church, the Archbold Athletic Department, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
