John L. Feehan

John L. Feehan, 71, of Custar, Ohio passed away Monday night, June 5, 2017 at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay, Ohio. He was born on June 18, 1945 in Toledo, Ohio to the late James and Esther (Cooper) Feehan. On November 26, 1966 he married his high school sweetheart Sharon Bowerman and they had just celebrated 50 years of marriage. John was a 1963 graduate of Westwood High School and a lifetime farmer on his family's farm in Custar. He also owned and operated John's Sales & Service, offering plumbing and heating services to his community. He served in the Ohio National Guard. He was a lifetime member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Custar and currently a Milton Township Trustee. John was athletic in his youth, both as a baseball and basketball player. He was an avid builder and flyer of model airplanes and had his own flying field near his family farm which he shared with many friends. In his 40's he traded the models for the real planes and became a licensed private pilot and the flying field became a runway. In his spare-time he enjoyed mushroom hunting, Coon Dog Festivals, joking with his friends and working on his family farm. He would "tinker" and create or fix just about anything. He even claimed he could "fix anything but a broken heart or weld the crack of dawn". He spent his lifetime loving and providing for his family, and remains adored by his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving and supportive wife, Sharon; his four sons, Steven (Sarah) Feehan; Douglas (Jennifer) Feehan; Ryan (Michelle Hanneman) Feehan; Mark (Raechel) Feehan; grandchildren, Kyra O'Brien; Keegan O'Brien; McKenzie Miller; Kaleb O'Brien; Nicole Miller; Clayton Feehan; Grace Feehan; Cooper Feehan; Luke Feehan; Nolan Feehan; Faith Feehan; Hayden Feehan; James Feehan; Whitney Feehan; Jade O'Brien; sister, Mary Jane (Ted) Lee; and brother, James Feehan. A Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Custar with Fr. David Tscherne officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery and a fellowship luncheon will follow at the church. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler.
