Jackson R. Hettie

Hettie Ruth Jackson, 97, of Napoleon, Ohio died Wednesday afternoon, December 31, 2008 at the Lutheran Home of Napoleon. She was born February 27, 1911 in Stow, Illinois to the late Elmer and Alice "Gertrude" (White) Kerr. On March 11, 1934 she married Martin E. Jackson in Maumee, Ohio and he preceded her in death on February 13, 1994. Hettie was a homemaker and a bookkeeper at Jackson Cleaners for over 30 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Napoleon; past member of Rebekkah Lodge; the Henry County Election Board and Democratic Party. She is survived by four children, Jeanie Hatfield, Grand Rapids, Ohio; Martin (Judy) Jackson, Coldwater, Michigan; Susan (Jack) Rainbolt, Granbury, Texas and Bob (Sandy) Jackson, Coldwater, Michigan; nine grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sister, Virginia Waltz, Bowling Green, Ohio and sister-in-law, Helen Jackson, Napoleon. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Brown and two brothers, Ivan and Wattie Kerr. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at First Presbyterian Church, Napoleon with Pastor Gavin Pitt and Pastor Pamela Gordon officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. on Sunday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon and from 10-11 a.m. on Monday prior to the services at the church. The family suggests memorials to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation; Napoleon Public Library or First Presbyterian Church.
