Harman Viola

Viola HarmanOctober 13, 1914-March 15, 2011 Viola H. Harman, 96, of McClure, left her earthly life and joined many of her family members in heaven Tuesday night, March 15, 2011. She was born October 13, 1914 in Holgate, Ohio to the late John and Elizabeth (Diemer) Gustwiller. On October 29, 1935 she married W. Howard Harman and he preceded her in death on January 21, 2000. Viola was a hard working, dedicated homemaker, farm wife and mother. She kept a spotless home, filled with smells of great cooking and surrounded by flower gardens. She also worked briefly for the Campbell Soup Company, Napoleon. She was a devoted Catholic and member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Grand Rapids, Ohio; member of Olive Branch Friendship Club; Gleaners; Harrison Township Grange; and Ohio Farm Bureau. Viola left a legacy of love to daughter, Jo Ann (Harold "Moose") Badenhop-Myers, McClure; son-in-law, Blair Plotts, McClure; grandchildren, Marie (Fritz) Wolfram; Michael (Sheri) Plotts; Bridget Light; David "Boomer" (Laura) Badenhop; Tammy (Terry) Carson; Brian (Betsy Meade) Plotts; Tim (Kim) Plotts; Doug Badenhop; Candy (Harry) Sanders; 3 step grandchildren, Raymond (Ada) Myers; Cathy Myers, Donald (Brenda) Myers; 61 great grandchildren; 35 great great grandchildren; and brothers, Raymond Gustwiller, Custar, Ohio and Leo (Janet) Gustwiller, Wauseon, Ohio. She was also preceded in death by daughter, Donna Plotts; grandchildren, Dennis Badenhop and Theresa Badenhop; great grandchildren, Hunter Badenhop and Christopher Wolfram; sister, Mary Agnes Gustwiller and brothers, Alfred, Leroy, Bernard, Virgil and William Gustwiller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrate at 11:30 a.m. on Friday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Grand Rapids, with Fr. David Tscherne officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, McClure where a scripture service will be held at 8 p.m. The family suggests memorials to St. Patrick Catholic Church; McClure Fire & Rescue or Henry County Hospice.
