George F. Gebers Jr.

George F. Gebers Jr went home to God on Monday, April 15th, 2024. He passed in his home in McClure, Ohio with loved ones by his side, as he wanted. George was born On July 25th, 1956 in Bowling Green, Ohio. He was the son of Jo Gottschalk and George Gebers, Sr. and the brother to many siblings (not wanting to accidently miss one, so none are being named here.) George was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, wife Cindy, at least 2 siblings, and his son Jeremiah (JJ) Gebers. He leaves several behind on this earth to both grieve and celebrate his life. His oldest son, George Gebers (April) and daughter, Elizabeth Brown (Matthew Garber) will always have a hole in their heart that only a Dad can fill. Barb Smith (daughter Alicia) will carry on the burden of living day to day without her significant other and love of her life by her side; where he has been for over 20 years. George’s grandchildren – Nicole, Jason, Ethan, Bryce, Sara, Tristan, and Toria – will cherish the memories with their Grandpa. George’s first wife and mother to his children (now Barb Donley) will also mourn the loss of that part of her life. George had several nieces and nephews and great friends that retell George’s stories for the rest of their lives. George was a very loyal friend to many. George was an avid hunter and fisher throughout his life. He worked in a variety of jobs. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing cards, music, drinking beer, going to the Eagles and Moose lodge, and hanging out with friends. He loved his guns, turkey shoots and having a fish fry. He was always willing to lend a hand to whomever needed it. He would be sure to crack some jokes and tell some tall tales along the way. Raise a glass to toast the life of a man who did things on his own terms. We will have a very informal celebration of George’s life on Friday, April 19th at 1pm at his home. Bring your favorite drink and memories to share with those who loved George. No other services will be had, as that is what he wanted.
