Arthur "Art" Miller

Arthur “Art” J. Miller, 92 of Napoleon, Ohio, went home to the Lord on Monday, July 20, 2026. He was born on August 22, 1933, to the late Arthur and Emma (Precht) Miller. On August 19, 1967, he married Jaqueline “Jackie” K. Tuohy at St. John’s Catholic Church, Defiance, Ohio and she preceded him in death on April 26, 2011. Art was a very hardworking, humble and kind man who loved and adored his family dearly. He had a great sense of humor and thoroughly enjoyed making people smile and laugh. Art worked for Ohio Gas Company as a service technician for 43 years. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Napoleon for many years. Art served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Napoleon American Legion, Post 300. Art was a lifetime farmer and provided for his community through raising animals and various crops. His hobbies included riding his golf cart with his dogs, playing horseshoes with his family and friends, and watching westerns. He would often spend his Tuesdays getting groceries and taking a trip to Buffalo Wild Wings with his sister Ruth, where they were often joined by family and friends. He is survived by his six children, Paul (Jeanne) Miller, Joe (Wendy) Miller, Phil (Mary Jo) Miller, Jenny Norden, Renee (Luke) Grime, Andy (Mandi) Miller; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Bertz; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Art is preceded in death by his wife Jackie and siblings, Harold Miller, Regina Cordes, Norm Miller, Annie Lammers, and Martha Koppenhofer. Friends and family will be received at Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, Napoleon, on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 3pm until 7pm, as well as from 10am until time of services at 11am on Friday. Funeral services will be held for Art on Friday July 24 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon, at 11am. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery of Napoleon, where military honors will be accorded by the Napoleon American Legion, Post 300. Memorials are to be directed towards St. Paul Lutheran Church.
