Allison Long

Allison Marie Long, born on November 3, 2002, ran into the arms of Jesus and received her beautiful angel wings on April 5, 2024. She was the precious beloved daughter of James and Kara (Leonard) Long and a cherished sister to Amanda (Joel) Espinoza. Allison's light shone brightly in the lives of her family members including her best friend and niece Haddie Espinoza; maternal grandmother Carol (Delano) Leonard; paternal grandmother Connie (Paul) Long; numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and her cherished companion cat, Bella. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Delano (Bud) Leonard and James Long. Allison graduated from Napoleon High School in 2021 where she made an impact with her infectious smile and unwavering optimism. She pursued further education at Northwest State Community College with dreams of becoming a registered nurse - driven by her passion for helping others and saving lives. There, she made lasting friends pursuing the same passion, especially her dearest bestie, Madi Baum. She was currently working as an STNA and loved caring for her residents. Through trials and tribulations, Allison remained strong and resilient. Her faith grew stronger leading her to give her life to Jesus with baptism at Crossroads Church in 2022. Her unwavering spirit touched the hearts of all who knew her. One constant joy in Allison's life was her niece Haddie - they shared an unbreakable bond over their love for softball. Their connection brought immeasurable happiness to us all. Allison will be remembered as someone who always put others before herself - she was a rock for so many people during difficult times. Her ability to turn pain into power inspired those around her to find the strength within themselves. In honor of Allison's memory, let us carry forward the lessons she taught us; turning our hurt into healing, wounds into wisdom, and our pain into power as we live out her life through ours. The loss of Allison has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who loved her dearly but may we find peace knowing that she has picked out the most beautiful set of wings and she is enjoying 8pm ice cream with her beloved Grandpa Bud. Visitation will be held at the Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, Napoleon, on Thursday, April 11th, 2024 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Crossroads Church, Napoleon, Friday, April 12th, 2024 at 11am. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Church, Napoleon, Napoleon Travel Softball or the Wildcat Boosters.
